A Lifelong Affair with Computers
Keith’s fascination with computers ignited in 1982, starting with programming on a Commodore 64. Always striving to defy limitations, he was among the trailblazers by equipping his C64 with a hard drive while others were still using floppys. In 1985, he acquired a 286 and with the help of a software hoarding programmer and hacker was doing Pentium multitasking before 386 computers had come out. Back then, he was running a Desqview environment allowing him to window DOS programs. By the time Windows came out, he was running it within a window.
The Pioneering Years
While specializing in business software integration during his college years, Keith developed a revolutionary PC-based marketing system in 1988. Leveraging an extensive phone book database that covered the entire United States, he integrated word processing software with dbase and Lotus 123, and linked it to mapping software for large-scale, nationwide marketing. Originally designed in hopes of pursuing countrywide mass mailing efforts, he used it to assist the Morehouse Real Estate Institute with marketing their new internship program.
A Forerunner in Online Communities
By 1992, Keith had established and operated his own Bulletin Board System (BBS) in the Baton Rouge area, connecting local users to a nationwide network. This platform facilitated communication and gaming, paving the way for the age of the internet as we know it.
The Novice Becomes A Master
Once the Internet came to be, Keith became motivated by the prospect of achieving financial independence online. He immersed himself in a plethora of digital ventures. From affiliate marketing to e-commerce, he explored multiple avenues in his quest for online success. This exploratory phase served as a real-world incubator for honing his skills in web design, search engine optimization, and digital marketing strategies. While the road was filled with challenges, it provided invaluable experiences and insights that have shaped the ethos and competencies of Ahead Tech Group, LLC today.

Between 1995 and 2000, Keith gained online recognition as Cybermentality, actively participating in the burgeoning era of online gaming with iconic titles like Doom, Duke Nukem, and Quake. His ventures into local area networking (LAN) led him to construct an eight machine home-based LAN setup for multiplayer gaming where his friends would come over to battle. Little did he know, this hardware would become a practical laboratory where he honed his skills in network troubleshooting.
